Welcome to InTeO
The Occupational Therapy Research Group (InTeO, from Spanish “Investigación en Terapia Ocupacional”) of Universidad Miguel Hernández is located at the Sant Joan d’Alacant Campus and focuses on promoting the progress, innovation and strengthening of research in the field of Occupational Therapy.
Our objective is to generate scientific evidence that enriches the different areas of study across the different stages of the life cycle within the field of Occupational Therapy.
InTeO’s History
The InTeO Group was unofficially formed in 2016, when two methodologists and three occupational therapists came together to translate, adapt, and validate three assessment tools used in Occupational Therapy.
In 2019, two more therapists joined, and we officially registered as an emerging research group at Universidad Miguel Hernández.
In 2023, the Group was consolidated and merged into two occupational therapists and 2 methodologists. That same year, we added four occupational therapists hired with public aid or under projects.
Through our publications, presentations at national and international conferences, and research projects, we have strived to contribute to the progress of Occupational Therapy.
